SAMETI organizes two day training

DIMAPUR:

State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) organized a two days training programme on “Promotion of Integrated Farming System in Agri & Allied Sectors” on May 22 and 23.
In a press release by SAMETI Director & IETC Principal Medziphema, noted that during the training ICAR Research Complex, Nagaland Centre, Scientist (Horti), Dr. Aabon Yanthan, KVK, Dimapur, CTO (Animal Science) Dr. Ebibeni Ngullie, and Dr. Lawrence Kithan, Scientist, Agronomy AICRP on Kharif Pulses, Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding, SAS Nagaland University, Medziphema Campus covered topics on ‘Importance and basic introduction of Integrated Farming System in NER’, ‘Importance of dairy under Integrated Farming System’ and ‘Maximizing Resource use efficiency with Integrated farming systems’.
The participants also visited Zutoi Village, Aghunaqa Block Niuland District led by progressive farmer, Tokugha Zhimo.
The Valedictory program was chaired by SAMETI, Deputy Project Director, Janet Chishi. Feedback on the training was given by all the participants and certificates were distributed to the trainees.
