SAMETI two-day training concludes

The two-day training programme on “Production and use of Mass Media resources and Presentation Skills for Agricultural Extension” organised by State Agricultural Management and Extension Training Institute (SAMETI) for ATMA Functionaries at SAMETI, Medziphema concluded on Friday.
In a press release, SAMETI Medziphema informed that during the training, participants were taught on conceptual outlook on media resources in the context of agricultural extension: production and usage, capacity of digital market in agri and allied produce, mobile apps in agriculture extension offered by centre, important websites and web portals.
Practical sessions on selected media resources, needs and use of social media in agriculture and rural areas, video production and editing, use of social media and production/presentation skills for agriculture extension were also conducted during the training.
Resource persons for the training were assistant professor, department of Rural Development, NU: SASRD, Medziphema, Dr. Mary N Odyuo, director Illando Pvt Ltd Imtisunep Longchar, assistant program officer, Er. Kevilienuo Kire, and assistant program officer, directorate of Information Technology & Communication Er. Kumuhgato G.
The valedictory programme was chaired by deputy project director, SAMETI Janet Chishi, feedback on training was given by all the participants of 11 districts while DPD SAMETI Yezaho Swu proposed vote of thanks.
Earlier, SAMETI director and principal IETC Dr. Watimongla Jamir handed certificates to all the trainees.
