For the aspiration of the rural populace, a “sanitary pad production unit” was formally inaugurated on May 1 by advisor, industries & commerce, labour & employment, skill development & entrepreneurship, Imnatiba, MLA at Changtongya village.
A press release by block programme manager, Nagaland State Rural Livelihood Mission (NSRLM), Changtongya block, Moanungsang stated that in his inaugural speech, Imnatiba expressed gratitude to National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NSRLM) BMMU Changtongya block for the noble initiative.
He called upon the supporting agencies to continue to provide quality support to ensure success of the project and to periodically apprise the administration on the progress of the project.
He concluded by assuring that he would give his best towards the successful development of the project.
The inaugural programme was attended by Changtongya village council members, NABARD official from Mokokchung, NSRLM Mokokchung district and block staff and SHG members under NSRLM Changtongya block.
It may be mentioned that the sanitary pad production unit was provided by NABARD to Warotzubu SHG (under NSRLM Changtongya block) through its livelihood and Enterprise Development Programme (LEDP) and initiated through NABfoundation, “my pad my right” project.
