Founding president of the Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) and social worker, Sano Vamuzo has been conferred with the Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian honour in India. Sano, wife of former chief minister Vamuzo Phesao, was among 110 individuals who were awarded the Padma Shri. The Centre also released the names of five Padma Vibhushan and 17 Padma Bhushan.
