
Sgeul Aoibhneach School Kiphire (SASK) a residential school was dedicated by senior pastor of Kiphire Town Baptist Lithro, S Chopongkyu on February 27 at Kiphire town.
During the dedication function, proprietor of the school, Alison Sangtam also the associate pastor of the Kiphire Town Baptist Lithro (KTBL) said that the “SASK” is a project under Prodigals’ Home which has been supported by the Good News Health Scotland Trust (GNHST).
He said that God has evidently entrusted me this ministry, a specific vision to gaze upon and his provision to fulfill his given vision.
He stated that the main purpose of establishing the school was to impart academics from Christian perspective and committed to provide quality education both spiritually and academically.
According to him, his family has been running a small hostel for the past 10 years for the school children and the mission was just a blessing from God that they had been praying for.
He also said that in 2009 their family along with few of his school children came to this field and dedicated the location of the school to God for the purpose of the opening school and it was after 7 long years of prayer God answered their prayer.
It may be noted that foundation stone was laid on January 27 and school building, offices, hostels, staff quarters were started for the functioning of the school and is still under progress.
Classes would have LKG & UKG only for the current academic year which would be upgraded annually. The school provides trained and experienced faculty with modern infrastructures and update facilities. School bus would be provided for the day scholar. Altogether 35 student enrolled for the academic year 2017.
Earlier, invocation prayer was pronounced by pastor Kiphire Village Baptist Lithro, Tsosuju and introductory session of the school teachers was given by the proprietor of the school.
Parents, church elders and well-wishers attended the programme.
