School of Agricultural Sciences and Rural Development (SASRD), Nagaland University, Medziphema campus celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day- cum-Alumni Meet on October 22 at SASRD, Medziphema campus.
A press release by Alumni Association, SASRD (AASASRD) informed that the event was organised by the association and co-sponsored by the alumni of 1985 (8th batch).
Special guest of the event, director, UGC-HRD Centre, NEHU, Shillong and former faculty of SASRD, Professor Rakesh Mohan, expressed happiness at being in the campus and to be in the presence of the students, faculty and staff of SASRD.
He said agricultural institutes in the region play a vital role in producing efficient agricultural graduates and connect developmental research with the society through extension activities. Professor Rakesh lauded SASRD for its exceptional service and complimented the faculty and supporting staff for their excellent teachings and strong research, which he said can be seen by the success of the alumni in different professional fields.
