SASU holds general conference in Kidima

A three-day 65th Southern Angami Students’ Union (SASU) general conference was held form January 23 to 25 at Kidima village on the theme ‘Adapt, improvise and achieve’.
Speaking as the introductory guest, former president of Angami Students Union (ASU) Kezhazer said only the best of the best will survive in the fast changing global scenario. He said students need to give their best in studies so to compete with highest degree of temperament in competitive examinations. 
Focusing on State scenario, he said the State government is already over burden with excess government staff and a time would come when the government servants needed to be phase out and only the best of the best would be required to serve the people.
The former ASU president pointed that out of the 100% grants from Government of India, 65% are doled out on government salary and remaining 35% is used for development works. 
He encouraged the students to set goal and further encouraged to have high aim to achieve glory and honour and bring laurels to the community.
Exhorting the students, SAWO chairperson urged upon the students and younger generation to respect the elders.
The conference was attended by host of students leaders from NSF, ASU, ANCSU, Southern Angami Women organization (SAWO) and social workers. The function was chaired by Neitho Tacü.
