SAYO flays killing of 2 NAP jawans

Southern Angami Youth Organisation (SAYO) has vehemently condemned the murder of Constable Kevisekho Khate of 10th IRB hailing from Khonoma Village and Lance Naik T. Zewangba Yimkhiung of NAP Rangers from Kiphire area on November 22 by their colleague Constable Zenise Yhoshü, NAP Rangers while on duty at Lamhainamdi village, Peren.
In a press note, SAYO president Metekhrielie Mejura and general secretary Metevizo Sophie said the heinous act of the jawan, taking away the life of two of his colleagues was uncalled for in a civilised and peace-loving society.
SAYO therefore urged the law enforcing authority to award befitting punishment to the culprit as per the law. It also urged the state government to take the matter seriously and offer necessary assistance to the bereaved family members on humanitarian ground.
SAYO expressed solidarity with the families of the slain brothers and prayed that Almighty God grant solace and peace to the loved ones and also the departed souls to rest in eternal peace.
