Sazolie College holds 2nd Graduation Day

Sazolie College celebrated its 2nd Graduation Day for postgraduate students under Nagaland University at Vineizono Hall, Kohima, on August 19.
The ceremony began with an academic procession, followed by an invocation.
In his address, principal of the college, Dr. Gopal Chetri, congratulated the graduating students and expressed pride in their achievements. He highlighted the efforts of the students and urged them to uphold values and integrity while facing adversities.
Presenting the academic report, Dr. David Sechü, HoD of Political Science, highlighted the recent achievements of the college in the Nagaland University examinations. The Department of History and Archaeology recorded a pass percentage of 82.23, with four students securing ranks in the university’s toppers list. The Department of Political Science achieved a pass percentage of 81.48, with five students in the toppers list.
During the academic awards, the Management Toppers Award was presented to the following students: History & Archaeology: Torila (2nd rank, CGPA 7.56), Throngkhum Yimchunger (6th rank, CGPA 7.19), Sipong Chingmak (9th rank, CGPA 6.94), and Suvikhru Rume (9th rank, CGPA 6.94).
Political Science: Chulam Phom (2nd rank, CGPA 8.19), Bendangnungla Longkumer (5th rank, CGPA 7.69), Petekhrieno Viyie (6th rank, CGPA 7.56), Neikethonuo Liezietsu (7th rank, CGPA 7.50), and Beseno Kiso (10th rank, CGPA 7.31).
The Mavericks Academic Excellence Award was conferred on Chulam Phom of Political Science, who secured the 2nd rank with CGPA 8.19.
Delivering the commencement address, Dr. Gomesh Mosahary, principal of Sazolie College of Teacher Education, urged the graduates to uphold integrity and moral values as they step into a competitive world. He further encouraged them to face challenges with courage and a positive mindset.
Valedictory speech was delivered by Chulam Phom, while the programme was led by Dziesesanuo Dzüvichü, assistant professor, Department of Political Science.
