SBI Lerie branch settles death claim under PMJJBY

SBI Lerie branch, Kohima handed over death claim settlement of Rs. 2 lakh under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) to Nothukienu Venuh, wife of late Rhangopu Venuhm who passed away on December 12.
A press release by SBI Lerie branch, chief manager Thungdemo C Murry, stated that late Rhangopu had registered under the said scheme in June 2022. It may be noted that PMJJBY is a one-year insurance scheme renewable every year and offers insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakh on death of the insured member for any reason which is payable to the nominee. Savings bank account holders of participating aged between 18 and 50 years of age are eligible to apply for the scheme at an annual premium of Rs. 436.
