A free medical camp under the “SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels” project was conducted on October 4 at Kiphire village, supported by the SBI Foundation as part of its CSR initiative “Service Beyond Banking” and organised by NATURE, the implementing agency in Nagaland.
The mobile clinic, equipped with essential medical and diagnostic facilities, aimed to provide primary healthcare services to rural communities with limited access to medical care.
During the camp, villagers availed doctor consultations, general medicines, laboratory tests, ECG, eye check-ups, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings, along with other essential medical services. Awareness sessions on health, hygiene and sanitation were also conducted to promote preventive healthcare.
Project Lead Nagaland, SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels, Longtili C. Sangtam, expressed gratitude to SBI Foundation for bringing quality healthcare to remote areas. He stated that the mobile clinic is a symbol of hope, reaching villages, healing lives and empowering communities. He further informed that the project will cover 20 villages in Kiphire.
The medical team also interacted with patients, distributed medicines and provided guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
