Sao Chang College and Assam Rifles along with the rest of the world observed “World Health Day” on April 7, on the theme “My Health, My Right”.
SCC: Sao Chang College in collaboration with the District Hospital Tuensang observed World Health Day at district hospital Tuensang on April 7.
In a press statement, media cell of Sao Chang College said that the programme was organized by the IQAC and Students Union of Sao Chang College along with the Tuensang district hospital.
Medical Superintendent In-charge, Dr. Tochi spoke on the importance of health.
He encouraged the gathering to practice healthy life habits to ensure good health by drinking pure water, eating healthy food and breathing healthy air. He urged the students, faculty and staff nurses attending the programme to promote healthy environment around, as human life and environment are connected to each other. Earlier, the programme was chaired by co-ordinator IQAC, SCC Dr. Santosh Kumar Singh. psychiatrist, district hospital Tuensang Dr. Senilo.
Principal, Sao Chang College Dr. Lanurenla also spoke during the programme. All together 55 participants including Principal, IQAC coordinator, IQAC members, Students of Sao Chang College, doctors and nurses of district Hospital Tuensang took part in the programme.
AR: Dimapur Batallian, Assam Rifles, under the agies of IGAR (N), along with Can Youth (NGO Nagaland) and Regional Ayurvedic Research Centre, celebrated World Health Day on April 7 by distributing nutritional supplements at Neistao colony and Namgalong colony in Dimapur.
A press statement from Assam Rifles stated that the program commenced with lecture on health and hygiene by Medical Officer from Regional Ayurvedic Research Centre, Dimapur. Followed by distribution various nutrition supplements to the children and Assam Rifles contributed by donating various millets, biscuits, chocolates etc. The event saw active participation of 100 children at both locations.
