SCERT releases ‘mathematics resource book’

“Mathematics resource book” on Teaching Learning Materials (TLM) for Classes 6, 7 & 8 as part of Mathematics Learning Enhancement Programme Nagaland (MLEPN) was released by Limawapang Aier, additional director Directorate of School Education and additional mission director Samagrah Shiksha Abhiyan in the presence of SCERT director T. Sekhose at SIEMAT Hall, State Council of Educational Research & Training (SCERT) here on Tuesday. This book was released at the three-day orientation for District Resource Group (DRG) on MLEPN.
Aier in his address hoped that the book will serve its purpose and will bring drastic improvement among the students.
He called upon the district resource groups from 11 districts to learnt the new techniques and teach the students well.
T.Sekhose, in his address said that mathematics was the basic of all scientific achievements and stressed on the need to encourage students to develop interest in mathematics. He also urged the district resource group to evolve strategy and make mathematics a joyful learning experience.
The resource book on TLM in mathematics at the upper primary level has been developed by SCERT in order to help teachers make teaching and learning mathematics in upper primary level interesting, joyful and effective.
Sekhose hoped that it will make a significant contribution for improving the teaching and learning of mathematics at upper primary level.
