A press release from SCHE stated that Rev. Fr. Chacko and Sr. Florence from Chavara Home were the resource persons. Sr. Florence in the first session spoke about HIV and AIDS and its means of transmission – through sexual intercourse, blood transfusion, sharing infected syringes, vertical transmission, etc. She emphasized on the wrong concepts that surround HIV/AIDS which result in excommunication, ostracization and exiling of infected persons from communities. The second session on drug addiction was taught by Rev. Fr. Chacko. Alcohol links such as dependency, depression, peer pressure, hallucinations were the focal point of his talk. The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) presented a song and proposed the vote of thanks.
