Scheduled power outage in 3 distts

Power department has informed that a total shutdown of power supply was scheduled from May 4-29, 2021 from 6am to 10am and 2:30pm to 6pm daily in Mon district, Longleng district and also areas surrounding Tuli sub-division under Mokokchung district.

In a press release, transmission division Mokokchung assistant engineer (trans) Akumtemjen Jamir the shutdown has been scheduled to necessitate conversion of single string 90KN disc insulator to long rod 120KN polymer insulator along 66KV Mokokchung-Tuli and 66KV Nagnimora-Tizit transmission line. 

The department said this was being done to strengthen 66KV transmission line from Mokokchung to Mon via Tuli-Naginimora-Tizit with the aim of providing stable power supply to Mon District. 

The public in the affected district and areas have been requested to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.
