The School of Music Dimapur, Naga United Village, organised a two-day music seminar at its campus on July 14 and 15, bringing together church leaders, choir members and aspiring musicians from different backgrounds.
The seminar featured separate sessions for children and adults, enabling participants to learn in an environment suited to their age groups and levels of understanding. Participants ranged in age from three years to over 80 years, reflecting the wide appeal of music across generations. The sessions focused on building participants’ musical foundation through basic music theory and vocal training. The programme was aimed at equipping individuals involved in church music ministries, as well as those seeking to improve their musical skills, with practical knowledge in an interactive learning environment.
The organisers said the School of Music Dimapur has been providing quality music education for the past 26 years and continues to nurture aspiring musicians through professional instruction, community engagement and educational initiatives. The school reaffirmed its commitment to promoting music education and developing musicians within the community through similar programmes in the future.
