Schools asked to be cautious while resuming classes

With the State government having announced reopening of educational institutions from November 1, principal director School Education Shanavas C has urged school authorities to be cautious and ensure safety of students.

Talking to media persons here, Shanavas said physical classes have already started in rural areas for standards V and above, while in urban areas classes would reopen from October 1. He however stressed that the school authorities would have to be very careful and follow Covid-appropriate behaviours. He said that parents wanted to send their children to schools as they felt that there was less learning from home. But, he said ensuring safety of children should be the top priority of the schools and all measures must be put in place.
