Schools, Colleges organise Teachers’ Day programmes

A common teachers day celebration programme was held at Government Higher Secondary School, Nagarajan, here, on Saturday.

Speaking at the programme, SDEO Dhasiripar, Apokla Longkumer highlighted about the celebration and elaborated on the role of a teacher.

She said that teachers were at the forefront of educating, shaping and moulding the generation of a society.

Apokla spoke on the challenges that teachers faced during the pandemic and lauded them for their patience, contribution and dedication towards the educational system.

Speech on behalf of the awardees was delivered by Livingstone International Foundation Higher Secondary school, assistant teacher Thuireishang Jamang.

The programme also followed presentation of awardees to the teachers for the year 2020-21, which was handed over DEO (charge) senior SDEO Kisheli.

Earlier, the programme was chaired DEO, DA Sentila Pongen, invocation was said by St John Higher Secondary Residential School, principal Dr. Walunir and welcome address was delivered ADEO Limatula. (Staff Reporter)

DMHSS: Management of Dimapur Mission Higher Secondary School (DMHSS) organised a teachers’ day programme at DABA town fellowship church building exclusively with teachers.

In a press release, DMHSS informed that while appreciating the contribution of teachers in nation building, DABA pastor Rev. I. Wati encouraged the teaching community to have patience in moulding students with different characters.

While offering a prayer for the teachers, the pastor reminded them that teaching profession was noble and honourable and they were God chosen people.

The school governing board chairman, K. Temjen Jamir felicitated the teachers by giving away awards in recognition of their commitment and care towards the students particularly during the pandemic.

Earlier, principal of the school, Alemtushi presented school academic report, Dr. Bendangjungshi said the invocation, Meyamongla delivered vote of thanks on behalf of the teachers and Rev.Wati Kichu said the benediction. 

The program was conducted by school governing board member, Dr. Maongkala Longchar.

MGM college: MGM college organised its 5th Teachers’ Day celebration at the college auditorium hall under the initiative of BA 5th semester. 

In a press release, MGM College media cell informed that the programme saw performances from students of BA 3rd semester, Wipiliu of BA 3rd semester and Krishna of BA 1st semester while Wepezo of BA 5th semester performed an original song.

Earlier, the programme was chaired by Imtizulu Jamir of BA third semester, Angukali Ayemi of BA 5th semester said the invocation, MGM college principal, Dr. Fr. P. S. Varghese delivered a speech while vice principal proposed vote of thanks and Manlemangba of 5th semester said the benediction

MCC: MCC organised a Teachers’ Day celebration on at the college premises.

In a press release, MCC informed that Maongtula Jamir of BA 5th Semester led the program, MCCEU president Thujosulu Rhakho said opening prayer while Kihobo, Niloli and Ritsali gave special presentations respectively. 

The college felicitated teachers of various departments that produced toppers in the last university exam.

Dmu teacher receives national award 

Satya Narayan Gupta, PGT of Kendriya Vidyalaya Rangapahar, Dimapur has been awarded “National Teacher Award-2021” at regional level by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan Tinsukia region.

Satya Narayan Gupta was conferred with the award for his services in the field of education.
