Science and technology awareness exhibition was organised Dimapur by Government Polytechnic Kohima and supported by department of Science and Technology was held on February 21 at Kin High School (KHS) Darogapathar Dimapur.
Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function, administrator of Kin High School, Vikhotso Kin urged the teachers to impart education as per the “level of knowledge” of the students.
Exhorting the students from various schools and teachers, Vikhotso asserted that self discipline, learning to say sorry and thank you and clearing one’s doubt in the class room itself were needed among the students.
In a short speech, Government Polytechnic Kohima principal Er. Vipulhou Lhoungu said that despite busy schedule the polytechnic school was trying to create awareness on science and technology to the public especially the student community. He also highlighted the various courses and activities taken up by the institute. The day long programme included stage show on hydroponics, science behind miracle and food adulteration, quiz based on Science & Technology, poster making and essay writing on the topic “innovative methods of reducing carbon dioxide”. Cash prizes along with certificates were distributed to the winners during the valedictory program.
