Science seminar and exhibition in Kohima

District Education Officer (DEO), Kohima under the aegis of the Directorate of School Education (DoSE), Nagaland, Kohima conducted virtual district level students’ science seminar and exhibition, 2021 on the topic “novel COVID-19 threat in future prospect & challenges” and “scientific solution for challenges in life” on February 24.

In a press release DEO Kohima Neizetuonuo stated that the competition was actively participated by 19 schools and 17 schools at the seminar and exhibition. 
The competition was judged by assistant professor, departnent of mathematics, Kohima Science College, Jotsoma, Teisovi Gerard Meyase, reader, SCERT, Nagaland, Kohima, Peter Phewhuo, PGT (chemistry), Tiawapang Kichu, Rüzhükhrie GHSS, Kohima, along with DEO, Kohima Neizetuonuo on March 1.
Under science seminar category, the competition adjudged Lomun Ü Kweho (class 10) of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima in the first position, Tiasola Aier (class 10) of Model Higher Secondary School, Kohima and City Pongya (class 11) of Rüzhükhrie Government Higher Secondary School, Kohima in the second and third positions.
Meanwhile under science exhibition category, Edirenla (class 10) of Fernwood School, Kohima was adjudged first position, Vivi K. Awomi (class-10) of Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima and Neli Khrasi (class-10) of Minister’s Hill Baptist Higher Secondary School, Kohima in the second and third positions.
