Alpine Open Scout and Guide unit conducted its annual training camp from June 26-29 at St. Edmund School, Kigwema. The camp was attended by 55 scouts and guides, scout master and guide captains, resource person and senior scouts and guides.
It was conducted under the leadership of scout master of Alpine Open Scout & Guide Unit, Imlisunep with district training commissioner (scout) of Kohima district, Om Prakash Gupta as a resource person.
The scouts and guides were mainly trained on the practical skills- rope work, first aid, pioneering project, different types of fire, camp craft, estimation, signalling, camp gadgets, wide games etc. The campers also experienced a taste of commando bridge and monkey bridge built by the senior scouts of the unit.
State organising commissioner (scout) NSBSG, John Tochimong graced the grand campfire as the campfire chief and exhorted the campers.
Meanwhile, unit administrator thanked all well wishers and individuals for their contribution during the camp.
