SDEO Tseminyu conducts sensitisation prog on PMS

Sub Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Tseminyu conducted sensitization programme on Pre-matric Scholarship Scheme (PMS) on September 9 at Tseminyu Town Hall sponsored by the Directorate of School Education. 

A press release by SDEO Tseminyu office stated that special guest, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Tseminyu W. Manpai Phom appreciated the department for organising such programme for the benefit of the needy students.  Stating that information technology has replaced manual work system, Phom urged the teachers to cope up with the challenges and equip themselves with the new system of technology in order to grow together.

Expressing concern over the unauthentic information regarding COVID-19 pandemic which has cause hesitancy among the masses, the ADC urged the teachers to pass accurate and confirmed information about COVID-19 to the masses so as to ensure maximum testing and vaccination. He emphasised that teachers should, sometime go beyond the call of duty for the benefit of the society.

The sensitization programme was led by SDEO Tseminyu, Yahuto Kath and introductory speech was delivered by resource person, superintendent B.I Angh while different scholarship schemes available for students from Class 1 to Class 10 were shared by the resource persons, UDA Jangsemba Tzudir and special educator, Zurhetho Nyuthe from the Directorate of school Education.
