S.D. Jain Girls’ College (SDGJC) Dimapur celebrated its 27th annual day-cum-fresher’s social on December 12 at the College premises.
A press release by the college stated that special guest, director, Prodigal Home and CHILDLINE, K Ela, exhorted the students to set their priorities in life and not waste time over petty matters.
She emphasized that one can be a social worker just by choice and to be willing to serve the society does not need any special position or qualification.
Ela also lauded the efforts of the Jain Samaj for supporting women empowerment through education.
On the occasion, the 18th edition of Jyotsna, the annual magazine was released. Lungyibuina Haihing, HT Sweetmerry and Linukbenla Jamir were crowned Miss S.D. Jain, 1st and 2nd runners-up respectively.
