Search continues for drowned youth in Doyang

Correspondent

The search operation for the youth feared drowned in Doyang Reservoir entered its second day on Monday. However, despite intensive efforts by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), the body could not be recovered. Search operations, which commenced around 6:30 a.m. and continued till 4 p.m., were called off due to extremely cold water conditions and the challenging depth of the reservoir. The operation is scheduled to resume early on April 14.
Teams were also awaiting the arrival of an underwater drone to assist in the search.
Local villagers have been extending full support to the rescue personnel by providing food, water, and other essentials, while many have remained at the site in solidarity.
