Seb inaugurates Mt. Terogvu Prayer Tower in Tseminyu

Ar. Jwenga Seb MLA of Tseminyu district inaugurated the Mt. Terogvu Prayer Tower in Tseminyu district on October 6 after a dedicatory prayer by Rev. Haiwalo Apon, Executive Secretary of CRBC.
The tower is reported to be 1735 meters above sea level.
In his inauguration speech, Seb expressed gratitude to Jenny Kath, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Tseminyu, for her leadership in the construction of the tower. He described it as a long-awaited achievement for the community.


Seb also highlighted the positive impact of the project on Tseminyu district’s green tourism initiatives, emphasizing the historical significance of Mt. Terogvü as a potential attraction for tourists.
Seb said that place should not only be seen as a tourist destination, but also as a sanctuary for healing and spiritual growth. He also stressed the importance of preserving the natural state of the flora and fauna and to promote a harmonious relationship with nature.


He further said that Tseminyu District Planning and Development Board (DPDB), has made a firm commitment to achieve the “Green District Development Goals”.
BDO Jenny Kath shared a personal story of finding comfort on the mount during difficult times. She expressed deep connection to the place and mentioned that the tower’s construction received support from the villagers, leaders, and elders. She said 40% of the funding came from MGNERGA under Rural Development, and the rest was covered by herself.
Tekhenlo Semp presented a brief history of Mt. Terogvü and Sentsing Tep, pastor of Terogvunyu Baptist Church, led the program. Atilo Semy, chairman of the Church Board, proposed a vote of thanks.
