Securing Our Sailors in Chaos

Sir,
The upcoming Indian Ocean Rim Association (IORA) meeting is a critical test for India’s maritime leadership. With recent U.S. attacks targeting four vessels carrying Indian seafarers New Delhi must boldly bypass bureaucratic red tape to address this crisis. Over 70% of global trade passes through the Indian Ocean yet our sailors have become collateral damage in foreign blockades & regional power plays. While IORA’s charter technically discourages political disputes ensuring basic maritime security & human life is the ultimate form of regional cooperation. India must aggressively utilize its chairmanship to demand strict accountability penalize unlawful blockades & establish an unyielding unified regional security framework. We cannot allow our trade routes to become lawless warzones.
