Seek permission for organizing events: DMC

Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) has notified that prior permission from the DMC was mandatory for organizing any seasonal festivals, events, carnivals, fairs, or similar activities within the jurisdiction of DMC. In a press release, DMC chief executive officer Thungchanbemo Tungoe stated that this measure was being enforced to ensure proper regulation, public safety, traffic management, and cleanliness during such events.
DMC has requested all individuals, organizations, institutions, or groups intending to host such activities to obtain permission from DMC permit branch in advance.
DMC stated that organizing events without prior approval would be treated as unauthorized and liable to action as per relevant municipal laws and regulations.
In this regard, DMC has sought the cooperation of all citizens to maintain order and ensure the smooth conduct of public events.
