Seized liquor/ drugs worth Rs.36 lakh was destroyed under relevant sections of the NLTP Act 1989/NDPS Act 1985 at the Excise Directorate Complex, Dimapur on December 11 by Liquor/Drugs Destruction Boards.
The destroyed items were seizure by the three enforcement wings based – District Excise, Mobile Squad and Narcotic Cell during the period from February 2023 to November 2023.
Commissioner of Excise, H. Atokhe Aye informed that the during the above period, an amount of Rs.7 lakh was deposited as revenue realized from case compounding.
H. Atokhe Aye commended the Excise enforcement personnel for the huge seizures made during the last few months. Especially with the approaching holiday season, Aye encouraged the excise personnel to continue to work sincerely.
