Seminar at Rajiv Gandhi University

DIMAPUR:

Rajiv Gandhi University hosted a three-day international seminar titled “Living World: Education of Past, Present and Future” from February 16–18, featuring 174 research presentations across 16 technical sessions. Among the distinguished panelists was Dr. Chubaienla Imchen, Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Economics, Jubilee Memorial College, Nagaland. She presented a paper on “Rethinking Education and Employability in the Northeast Region: Special Reference to Nagaland.”
Dr. Imchen highlighted the mismatch between rising educational attainment and limited employment opportunities in Nagaland and the wider Northeast. She noted the intense competition for government jobs and called for a cultural shift from a “government job waiting room” mindset to a dynamic “workshop culture” that fosters skills, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
