Seminar cum workshop held in SDJHSS

Ministry of Culture and Janjati Shiksha Samiti in association with Vidya Bharati Sanskriti Shiksha Samsthan had jointly organized a seminar cum workshop for students of class 10 to 12 on the topic, “development of scientific temperament” at SD Jain Hr. Sec. School (SDJHSS) Dimapur on August 17. Principal of Immanuel College Dimapur, Sharat Chandra Singh was the chief guest at the inaugural session. 
Key note address was delivered by principal SDJHSS Reji Abraham where he said that in order to make “our” country a developed nation, the present generation of youngsters should possess scientific approach towards life.  He said that the country’s backwardness could only be removed when all the citizens of the country were enlightened with proper education and right kind of scientific temperament.  
The chief guest, a science educator himself challenged the students to look within themselves and explore their potentialities. He spoke in details about the drawbacks of present day education system and urged the teachers and the students to be the change that they wanted to see. 
Ajay Sethi, school secretary, Pankaj Singha organizing secretary Janjati Shiksha Samiti  spoke on the occasion. Payal Kumari was the chairperson and Anand Sethi delivered vote of thanks. The workshop was held in three sessions led by Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Asst. Professor SDJHSS and Pankaj Singha, the organizing secretary, Janjati Shiksha Samiti.
