Department of Philosophy, Patkai Christian College (PCC) (Autonomous) organized a one day seminar on “Academic Writing & Intellectual Property: The Art of Giving Credit”, at the conference hall of the college on February 28.
A press release by PCC informed that resource person, Dr. Temjenkala Jamir, stressed on the importance of credibility, while explaining different types of research, its terminologies, fundamentals and techniques. She also discussed importance of Intellectual Property Rights in Academia, ICT, Plagiarism and how it is of much relevance in the field of research and in society.
Dr. Temjenkala speaking on qualities of good research mentioned that research must address important and relevant issues, which should increase knowledge and have beneficial implications.
She highlighted provision for scholars to have access to open source and open content such as the National Library of India, National Digital Library and NCERT.
