
A seminar on biodiversity and conservation was organised by Nagaland State Biodiversity Board (NSSB) on the topic, “developing IT infrastructure in schools for promoting biodiversity conservation” on March 25 at Azedon School Kohima.
In the keynote address, assistant conservator of forest, Kohima Elithung Odyuo spoke on the importance of biodiversity and advised the teachers and students to work together as one in conserving the biodiversity.
Delivering vote of thanks, headmistress of the school, Sentinaro lauded the department for selecting the school in the implementation of developing IT infrastructure in schools for promoting biodiversity conservation.
Earlier, technical staff of the NSSB along with eco-club members of the school led the plantation drive in the campus. The department also presented IT equipment to the school.
