Seminar on cleanliness, healthcare in Mon

Mon Town Council organised a seminar on cleanliness and healthcare for town wards on June 12 at the Konyak Union Office, Mon.
A DIPR report informed that Deputy Commissioner Mon, Wennyei Konyak, attended the programme as special guest. In his address, he thanked the organisers and participants, and urged citizens to practice cleanliness in their surroundings for better health. He also launched a waste management theme song performed by Kids Version, Mon Town.
Horticulture inspector Chingak PW Konyak and DVBPO Dr. Aben were resource persons at the seminar. Topics included “Solid Waste Management & Training on Compost Pit” and “Vector Borne Diseases & Prevention”.
Delivering the welcome address, ADC and administrator of Mon Town Council, Pakon Phom, appreciated the active participation of all ward representatives and encouraged them to make use of the knowledge gained from the seminar.
The programme was chaired by Wanle Nekong, LDA MTC. KNSK Wagiem Ward presented a cultural song, and District Chaplain pronounced the invocation. Y. Pongba, president of the All Ward Union Mon Town, delivered the vote of thanks.
