Seminar on ill effects of tobacco at St. Xavier’s College Jalukie

One day seminar on “ill effects of tobacco” was organised by National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) Peren under the aegis on the Chief Medical Office (CMO) Peren district on August 23 at the auditorium of St. Xavier’s College Jalukie.

A press release by CMO Peren stated that the seminar was held in collaboration with Red Ribbion Club (RRC), National Service Scheme of St Xavier’s College Jalukie with nodal officer NTCP, Dr. Sabino as the main speaker.

The seminar was compeered by RRC member, Nhaudaile, welcome address was delivered by St. Xavier’s College principal, Father Francis S. Cheerangal, a special number was presented by Witinggthuliu, a skit based on the seminar topic was performed by the RRC members and vote of thanks was delivered by Ramisinang Newme.

The seminar ended with a pledge from the students to keep free from tobacco; to campaign towards a better community and to keep a clean environment free from tobacco.
