‘Senden Riju Nüngolong’ inaugurated

Ao Senden Telongjem Dimapur (ASTD), the apex parent body of Aos in Dimapur dedicated Senden Riju Nüngolong (Morung monument stone), here, at Senden Riju on Saturday. 

Addressing a small gathering after inaugurating the monument stone, Moatoshi Longkumer, MLA, said that the monument stone was laid down to acknowledge land donors, Imtisungit Jamir and late I Nüngshi Longkumer who had a vision to donate a plot of land for Aos in Dimapur.
Moatoshi compared the good deed of land donors to that of Sikhs who have carried out humanitarian works all over the country, especially during the pandemic.
“One principle of their teaching is to maintain balanced life of family and social service to the public”, he exhorted.  
He encouraged Nagas as Christians to help society in whatever way possible and said that people did not take their richness to heaven. 
Moatoshi also appealed Church leaders not only to focus on spiritual growth but also on community service. 
Meanwhile, Imtisungit Jamir and Sharingain, son of I Nüngshi Longkumer also delivered short speeches. 
Earlier, the programme was chaired by planning member, Temsupok Jamir and dedicatory prayer for the monument stone offered by pastor, DABA, Rev. I Wati Jamir. 
Vote of thanks was ptoposed by president, ASTD, Meren Longchar and invocation offered by president, Dimapur Watsü Telongjem, Yarsangla. 
A brief report on the monument stone was also delivered by convenor, monument planning committee, Imtisangba Aier.
