A one day workshop on “sensitisation on common diseases among children” was organised by the department of Education, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), in collaboration with Community Health Nursing Department, College of Nursing CIHSR, on March 6, 2025.
Neiketounuo Medom, Assistant Professor College of Nursing, CIHSR as the resource person stressed on the major causes of death among children and gave insight on prevention of six killer diseases: Tuberculosis, Poliomyelitis, Diphtheria, Pertussis, Tetanus and Measles and how they were spread, prevented and treated. While Akum Toshi, who talked about immunization and the vaccines for the diseases.
The duo handed out samples of the vaccines to the students.
