Sensitisation programme on Nagaland health project

A sensitisation programme on Nagaland health project (NHP) was held on June 27 at Chief Medical Officer (CMO)’s conference hall, Dimapur.
A press note by CMO, Dimapur, K. Vikato Kinimi stated that during the programme, NHP project director, Dr. Vizole Soukhrie, introduced the project to the members and gave a gist on the project’s objectives which was to supplement, strengthen and assist the existing state health service delivery system. The director clarified that the project was not operating as a duplicate or different entity. 
He urged the district authority to identify and train the right person for the right assignment. 
Resource persons, additional project director, NHP, Dr. Atoshe Sema and M&E officer NHP Dr. Thomas Keppen sensitised the members on the objectives and programme implementation activities of NHP.
Dr. Atoshe Sema informed that the objective of NHP was to improve the health services and increase their utilization by communities. He stated that the project also envisioned strengthening the community involvement in improving access to health care and improving health and nutrition outcomes.
The programme was chaired by deputy CMO, Dr. Anotly and officials who attended the programme included Dr. K. Vikato Kinimi, Abino Khate district facilitator and various district programme officers under CMO Dimapur.
