Sensitization and awareness on Census, SIR at Noklak

DIMAPUR: A sensitization and awareness programme on the upcoming Census 2027, Special Intensive Revision (SIR), and the review of activities under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was held at the EAC Office, Nokhu under Noklak district on June 12, 2026.
The programme was attended by Nodal Officer OST, DH Noklak, Dr. chongya, Programme Manager (KBCA), Targeted intervention, J Khumong, representatives from civil society organizations, Gaon Buras (GBs), and village elders.
During the meeting, EAC Nokhu, Apuloka H Sumi sensitized the participants about the importance of Census 2027 and the Special Intensive Revision process.
Discussions were also held on the progress of activities undertaken under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the challenges faced in its implementation.
The gathering also reviewed ongoing efforts to create awareness against substance abuse and prepared an action plan for the effective implementation of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan in the area. Participants emphasized the need for collective community participation and cooperation to ensure a drug-free society.
The meeting concluded with a commitment from all stakeholders to work together for the successful implementation of government programmes and the welfare of the community.
