District level sensitization workshop on HIV/AIDS and Harm Reduction was held at Phek DPDB conference hall on August 5 with ADC Phek, Kuko Mero as the chief guest.
According to DIPR, Mero said that such programmes were important because it disseminated awareness of the disease to the people. He thanked the Kripa Foundation and stressed on the need to take preventive measures.
He said that the problem of drugs and alcohol users also should be addressed through a collective effort in order to minimize the habit. While wishing the organizers for organizing the programme he hoped that people would be benefited in the right decision and further called upon them to continue their good work.
DPO, DAPCU, Phek, Kuduvo Kezo spoke on the topic “HIV/AIDS scenario and services” while a talk on “Harm Reduction and its services” was given by programme coordinator, Kripa Foundation/ Project Sunrise, Ketho Angami.
