Advisor of Sericulture & Minority Affairs, Imkongmar inaugurated Seri-Tourism model Farming Centre at Pfutsero and Medziphema on April 11. In his inaugural speech, Imkongmar encouraged the public to make best use of this centre to learn various activities involves in Silk production.
The department initiated this innovative programme with an aim to disseminate knowledge about art of Silk making among the local populace.
The school and college students will have an exposure visit to this centre to learn about Silk for self-employment in their future career. The department will also conduct different technical skill training programme for the rural people to uplift the livelihood economy.
