Parliamentary Secretary of Sericulture & Home Guards & Civil Defence, E.E. Pangteang unveiled the department manual book and launched departmental website on February 28 at the Directorate of Sericulture, Kohima.
According to DIPR report, in his speech, Pangteang mentioned that Sericulture department was bifurcated in the year 1989 and after 28 years bringing out the departmental manual has given them a unique identity.
He pointed out that the basic philosophy of the government was to provide transparency, accountability and justice as well as to insist on discipline and efficiency.
Secretary of Sericulture, C.M. Tsanglao expressed his appreciation to the staff of the department for success of website launching where working system would be strengthened and enhance the ability to do more work.
Director of Sericulture, Chandan Basera urged the staff to cultivate the habit of sincerity and dedication so that our next generation would not suffer.
The programme was chaired by additional director, Imtisosang and vote of thanks was given by joint director, Chubameren. The departmental website can be accessed through www.sericulture.nagaland.gov.in.
