Three-day pen down strike by the Joint Coordination Committee (JCC) of five services associations (CANSSEA, FONSESA, NIDA, NSSA, and NF & ASA) entered its second day on Wednesday.
JCC is demanding the withdrawal of a backdoor appointed officer who has been selected in the panel list for IAS induction. According to core committee member Imtiwabang Jamir, JCC members met with chief secretary Sentiyanger Imchen on Wednesday to present their demands. Jamir stated that the strike would continue through its final day tomorrow. The issue began after the state government recalled its March 10 vacancy circular, allegedly to accommodate a non-state cadre officer for IAS induction.
