Advisor for Information Technology & Communication, Economics & Statistics and Evaluation, Government of Nagaland, H. Sethrongkyu Sangtam participated in the State IT Ministers’ Round Table Conference held as part of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025 at Yashobhoomi, New Delhi on October 8.
According to a DIPR report, the high-level conference, chaired by Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, brought together IT leaders from across the country to deliberate on strategies for advancing India’s digital transformation. The Union Minister emphasized the importance of collaborative governance, urging States to act as equal partners in realizing the national vision of a digitally empowered, connected and resilient Bharat. He called for the adoption of best practices, acceleration of last-mile connectivity, simplification of Right of Way (RoW) procedures, and innovative models to bridge the digital divide.
Held under the theme “Innovate to Transform,” the round table focused on driving transformation across telecom, industry, infrastructure, society and sustainability, in alignment with the national development roadmap of Viksit Bharat 2047.
Nagaland’s participation underscored its commitment to digital progress. The State Government has been actively working to enhance telecom infrastructure and services through close coordination with the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, and telecom service providers. These efforts aim to promote economic growth, foster digital inclusion, and improve the overall quality of life for citizens.
