A two-day “summer camp” organised by St. Francis de Sale (SFS) Parish, Kohima Town “You are the light of the world (Mt. 5:14)” culminated on June 30.
A press release by SFS stated that various competitions such as drawing and painting, talents shows, group songs, Bible quiz, singing practice etc. marked the second day.
More than 300 campers who were divided into three categories – Class A to 3, Class 4 – 7 and Class – 12 participated in the various programs of the summer camp. The release stated that functions were held at the parish premise, CAN building and Charity School for the different categories.
During the final session, resource persons spoke on various themes for each of the three categories.
Later, parish priest Rev. Fr. Richard Fernandes and assistant parish priest Rev. Fr. Peter Pithungo handed over prizes to the winners of various competitions during the closing ceremony at Charity School.
