SFSAN, YGOA flay Jan 24 shooting incident

State Forest Service Association of Nagaland (SFSAN) and Yimkhiung Gazetted Officers’ Association (YGOA) have condemned the January 24 shooting incident inside the premises of District Forest Officer’s office Zunheboto, damaging the government officer of the Assistant Conservator of Forests under Zunheboto Forest Division.

SFSAN said that no occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the incident.
The association said that it was deeply distressed to learn that a dedicated and sincere officer who is also a bona fide member of the SFSAN was the victim of such a heinous act.
SFSAN further demanded that those involved were held legally accountable, and appealed to the law enforcement authorities to initiate a comprehensive investigation and award a befitting punishment to the perpetrator (s).

YGOA: Condemning the incident, Yimkhiung Gazetted Officers’ Association (YGOA) said such sheer act of violence was a clear intention to murder and aimed at undermining the unity, peace and security of the society. Mentioning that such “heinous and cowardly action” should be outrightly condemned by all sections of society, the YGOA appealed that the perpetrators of the crime are apprehended and brought to justice as per the provisions of the law, to ensure that reoccurrence of such incidents were prevented.
