SH takes up road clearance and repairs

Sümi Hoho (SH), took up another benevolent task in clearing and filling of the roads ravaged by landslide, here in Suruhuto area, Zunheboto Monday.
This project taken up by the SH, Monday in Suruhuto area is third in a row in just a span of 3-4 weeks. The first was the “Alaphumi village Akuluto” where the entire 50-100 meters were completely washed away; again the lone lifeline in “Askhomi village”, some 7-10 km connecting all the areas and beyond the district to other state was blocked due to mudslide; and today “Suruhuto Zunheboto” route.
All the three routes affected were spearheaded and supervised by the Sümi Hoho assisted by other individual (s)/organization (s)/agency (s).
Speaking exclusively to this correspondent via phone call, Sümi Hoho informed that, “due to the landslide that damaged the road at Alaphumi Village, the road between Akuluto – Zunheboto was cut off and during that time, the heavy load laden trucks and other commercial vehicles were plying via Suruhuto-Zunheboto”.
“Since the road via Suruhuto is still not black-topped, it is so much damaged that small passenger vehicles can’t ply”, added SH.
It also thanked the, parliamentary secretary Suruhuto AC Shetoi Sümi for deploying 2 JCB/excavators and 2 dumper trucks.
It may be noted that the Sumi Hoho donated fuel and boulders during the road maintenance
The road repairing works were still underway under the supervision of Sümi Hoho officials led by its secretary SH Hekhushe Shikhu, Suruhuto Area Public Organization and PWD (R&B) and likely to take some more couple of days.
