Daughters of Shaki village, residing at Dimapur who are married to non Shaki brothers celebrated their Silver Jubilee fellowship on March 28 , at Unity College Dimapur, marking 25 years of unity and fellowship.
Former pastor, Lotha Baptist Church Dimapur, Rev.Zanao Mozhui graced the occasion as the Jubilee speaker.
According to DIPR report, Rev.Zanao, in his message, reminded the womenfolk that marriages are planned and destined by God while encouraging them to uphold the noble virtues and values of womanhood wherever they may be. He further lauded the women, acknowledging that women are taking the lead and initiatives in many fields thus making meaningful contributions to the community and society at large, in the present age. He exhorted the gathering to continue strengthening unity, faith and mutual support within the community.
Loshumlo Ovung one of the pioneer highlighted on the genesis of Shaki women Fellowship Dimapur, wherein she said that the fellowship was started in the year 2001 with just 2 members, she along with Lt. Orenboni Ngullie. Today, the fellowship has over 100 members for which she thanked God for His grace and mercy, she added.
Word of greetings was conveyed by Lotha Eloe Hoho predident, Thungbeni Ngullie, Ex.women pastor Kohima Lotha Baptist Church, Arhoni Kikon and Shaki Fellowship Dimapur, president, Rhonbemo Humstoe.
Women group Dimapur and Wokha Town presented special songs adding more colours to the occasion.
Thungjamo Odyuo, Seithekima C invoked God’s blessings while Mhonlumi Kasar read the scripture.
Associate pastor LBCD, Meripeni Lotha chaired the programme and also delivered the welcome note.
Special prayer for the Shaki women was invoked by the Jubilee speaker while Jubilee Convenor, Nyanbeni Patton proposed the vote of thanks.
The celebration marked an important milestone as members reflected on their journey of unity, support and fellowship over the past 25 years.
