Shamator DPDB meeting approves key development proposals

DIMAPUR

The District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) of Shamator convened its monthly meeting at DB’s Hall, Shamator on July 9, with Deputy Commissioner and vice chairman, DPDB Shamator, Chubatemjen, presiding over the proceedings.
According to a DIPR report, the meeting was attended by board members, departmental officials, and representatives from various organizations. The agenda included review of previous meeting minutes followed by deliberations on fresh proposals for development and administrative changes.
Among the key items discussed and approved were: Representation for renaming Chessore as Kiusoru; proposal for establishing a Police Reserve DEF at Shamator; registration of Hop Foundation Welfare Society based in Shamator; registration of Lumyin Welfare Society at Chessore; proposal for construction of a Government Primary School at Lunthur Village; and inclusion of Sotokur Village under the Grant-in-Aid (GIA) scheme.
All approved items were forwarded to the concerned departments for necessary action.
