Shamator lockdown for 48 hours

Five positive cases of COVID-19 have been detected in Shamator town, which has so far been a safe zone. The cases detected are 3 males and 2 females asymptomatic on August 28. 

According to DIPR report, the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) Shamator and chairman Task Force for COVID-19, Lankonsen Tsanglao in this regard has imposed 48 hours total lockdown on August 30 and 31. 
All movements have been prohibited except medical emergency/services, administration, police, security forces, COVID-l9 duty, funeral. All business establishments shall be strictly closed except pharmacies. Gathering of people, all places of worship, banks, Aadhar enrollment centre, etc shall remain closed until further order.
Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) also reported that due to self isolation of nurses and health workers, there has been acute shortage of medical staff. 
However, team of medical workers from Tuensang, consisting of 2 doctors and 3 surveillance workers have reportedly reached Shamator for further contact tracing.
