Swine Heath Management (SHM) training-cum-beneficiaries interaction programme was held on January 28 at Toulazuoma village, Dimapur. The programme was organized by community development foundation under the banner of NEDFi CSR initiative project.
The interaction was held with the objective to inculcate comprehensive knowledge on swine heath care management and to draw out insight from field based experiential knowledge on managing pig rearing activity from among the project beneficiaries.
Resource persons of the programme were deputy director (AH), Dr. Hiabe Zeliang, Pig Farmer’ Association (PFA) Dimapur president, Rev. Subong Ao, Para vet, John.
Altogether 52 participants, official representatives from NEDFi, Branch Manager, Dimapur Richa, NEDFi Dimapur Branch, Atono and CDF director K.H.Henry attended the program.
It may be noted that under NEDFi CSR project, 92 beneficiaries were been supported so far with two piglets each at Toulazuoma village. The project was launched on February 8, 2013, with the aim to enhance supplementary income of the low income families for meeting their livelihood needs and to promote pig rearing entrepreneurs in the village.
